The Complete Practical Guide To Card-Making
I have checked out many books on card making or looked at them in book stores and I finally found one that I would recommend. This one is called The Complete Practical Guide to Card-Making by Cheryl Owen. It has 200 step-by-step techniques and projects with 1100 photographs - a comprehensive course in making cards, envelopes, invitations, tags and papers in a host of different styles. This is a really good basic book on card making. The best books out there for ideas I believe are the Stampin' Up catalogs. You can not beat them for beautiful card ideas and if you were to purchase a book like them at retail, it would cost a minimum of $30.00. I have an extensive crafting book and pattern collection so I know what good books costs. So keep your old catalogs for idea books and if you are looking for some older one's let me know, I may have them. The only down fall is that they don't tell you how to make the cards...but that is what demonstrator's are for! If you are looking for a basic book, the one above is for you!
