Under the Stars

This is the other card we made last week.  The stamp set Lovely as a Tree is used for the tree background, and the bear, skeeter spray, sleeping bag and word grrreat! are from the stamp set Under the Stars.  We stamped the image with Black Stazon ink on watercolor paper, then used an aqua painter and reinkers to watercolor the images.  A cute fun card for all ages.  A great one for this time of year.  I will take a smor'e, or two or three...hee hee!  Have a good one!  Elaine

Hello!  It has been a really busy week, and I finally had a chance to take some pictures so that I could do some blogging again!  I was gone from Friday till Sunday on a quilting retreat up at Silver Birch ranch near Silver Lake (Antigo area).  I went with Diane Dilworth, and Joann Dickow.  We stopped at the Cutting Edge Quilt shop in Antigo on our way to the camp, and stopped at Pinery Patches in Tigerton on our way home.  We had a delightful time at both shops, and we all found new treasures to bring home with us.  We got a LOT of sewing done.  I completed a whole quilt top, worked some more on my sweatshirt, and have a rag bag almost finished.  A great weekend.  Monday morning found me still needing more sleep after a full night's sleep, and I went back to bed and slept the morning away.  But after I got up I had a very productive day.  I unpacked, did laundry, prepped 12 towels for stitching, and prepped the "Jan quilt" to stitch that will go on the metal quilt rack I got at quilt expo.  I found an adorable book this weekend that has mini quilts for each month of the year that will fit it.  I am in heaven about that!  Tuesday found me packing up the stamping order that arrived, answering the phone, and people in and out picking up orders.  I got both projects for Thursday night, designed, cut, and the supplies packed up and all ready to go for that work shop.  I went to the Family Dollar, made a run through Mc Donald's then headed out to Sara Ricci's to help her with embossing, and different ways and products she could use to color her images.  I got home around 8 and talked with Sarah, and Diane and then headed to bed around 9:30 as I was pooped out!  Some TV watching and I was zonked out!

Lovely as a Tree Christmas Card

We made this card last night at Maureen Bruce's stamping party.  It is a fun, quick, cute card.  The Cherry Cobbler is stamped with Versa mark and the Simple Snowflake Stamp.  I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot and then stamp the middle tree with Soft Suede, and continued stamping the other trees with out reinking.  The reindeer is the stamp Dasher.  I love that little deer.  He is so cute.  Then I stamped more snowflakes with Cherry Cobbler ink and punched them out with the snowflake punch.  Ran a brad through them, and attached them to the card.
Today I sent in the stamping order, a tastefully simple order, did my bank deposit and went to the bank.  Then I started unpacking and putting things away from last night.  Jenna called and we talked for about an hour, and then I decided to take a nap as I was tuckered out.  I slept about 3 hours this afternoon.  I am having trouble with TMJ.  Could barely open my mouth to eat lunch.  :-(  Dragster.  But I managed to eat through the pain.  I made some Thin Mints after I got up.  I am sure I will be able to slide those through my lips being as they are thin!  Ha Ha!

Lovely As A Tree Cards

It has been quite the week.  It has not went at all like I had expected it to go, but that is okay, in many ways, it has went better!  I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying about my life the past few months and I feel like now that I have "sat still" and listened to God that I am hearing his answers, and that I am being guided in the way I should go.  So I will be making some changes, and most of them won't affect you but they will affect me a lot!  One thing I have heard loud and clear is that I need to put my main focus back into my stamping business.  I have had numerous calls and people stopping in.  Picking up catalogs, placing orders, etc.  Also I am working on some new marketing ideas and I am very thankful and feel honored and blessed to have the opportunity to be starting a new stamping group!  I was asked about a week ago to do this, and the plans are now finalized for our first get together at the church on Thursday, September 30, starting at 5:30 to make two Christmas cards.  Right now they have about 12 people that are talking about coming which is absolutely great!  And if anyone wants to come from my other group, they are welcome too.  Just email me.  I will be sending out more information on that later.  I designed one of my cards for it today and it turned out oh so cute!  To be continued......

Ho Ho Ho....off to Tomah we go!

Hello!  Lady Di and I took a road trip to Tomah today.  She had a doctor's appointment there.  On the way over, I asked her if she had read the blog last night.  I asked her what she thought of it.  She said "I thought you have been in the house too long!" and she started laughing.  She then told me she had laughed the whole time while reading it.  This is not the first time she has told me this.  She knows me so well that she KNOWS when I need to get out of the house!  LOL   Any whoo....we had a great day.  Lots of fun and laughter.  We went to Walmart and I bought some groceries.  I am happy to report that I got my grocery bill down from $82.00 to $65.00 and saved $17.00 with coupon's.  I am finding out that certain places will not take internet coupon's, Pamida, Dollar General, and IGA won't accept them.  But Walgreen's and Walmart do.  So I am a happy camper.  Di treated me to Chinese which was very good, and then we went to Good Will before heading home.  We had a great time....thanks for getting me out of the house Di!

Christmas Card Swap

I had stamp camp tonight and these are the cards that gals that participated in the card swap made. All I can say is WOW! The only requirements of the swap were that they do there best work, and use good quality materials. And they sure did that. The pictures don't do them justice. I quick snapped them before stamp camp started and the lightening wasn't the greatest but I hope that you enjoy them!

Lovely As A Tree

Yesterday, Dianna and I went with Melissa and Isabelle out to Pineland Campground. For $5.00 you can get a wrist band that allows you to swim in the outdoor swimming pool, and play all the games, bounce on the trampoline, putt putt golf, etc. Isabelle and Dianna had a great time together. Dianna didn't want to go home.

Today, I had a special visitor. My friend and downline Corrinne from Rockford, IL was here and we had a nice long visit. After she left Dianna and I went to pick up some Peppermint Patties for the sunflower's we have been working on tonight and pizza and icecream. It is our last night celebration! I will be sad to see her go home tomorrow. She loves to craft with me and we have had such fun together.

Lovely As A Tree & On Your Birthday

Good Evening! Yesterday, Lady Di and I took Bernie to the Rapids for his haircut and then we shot up to Plover to Michael's to do some shopping. After we picked Bernie up, we had supper at Hong Kong Buffet, then we stopped at Lighthouse Books. Of course we founds some new goodies :-)

Today, I frosted the 6 dozen sugar cookies I made earlier in the week for Sarah's and Zach's picnic that is tomorrow. I had some taste tester's begging for a cookie today. I had made the mistake of telling them on Tuesday that I had baked the cookies and froze them. So Debi Wehby and Melissa Varga each had a cookie and thought they were very good. Melissa was over for a visit and she brought me some more goodies of her's to play with. She is so good to me. :-) I got some more images colored and if I ever get a free day....I should be able to make up a bunch of cards pretty quickly as I have so many images colored now! I worked on stamping some sentiments in some other card's that the fronts were finished and got them packaged up to go to the flea market & the Dell's tomorrow. I will do the flea market in the morning and close around 1:30, come home and rest, pack up the food, then head to Hill of Beans before going to the picnic. It will be a busy day....that is for sure!

Lovely As A Tree & Enjoy Life Scrapbook Page

On Monday night I did a stamping party at Sandy Wellmususon's home. We had a great time as usual. Here are the two projects we did. Every one just roared when they saw the scrapbook page with Lady Di and her grass hair! She is such a good sport....she didn't even get mad at me! I thought that picture was perfect with the saying Enjoy Every Moment. Diane sure does! Love ya buddy! Boo
