Give Thanks

This is another card from the Year of Cards event.  The greeting is from the Level one hostess set Holiday Best and is punched out with the wide oval punch.  The card stock was punched with the Scallop Trim Corner punch from the Occasions Mini catalog.  We used a needle and thread to gather the 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon from page 183 of the big catalog.  A Build a brad, page 179 and a stamped image from Little Flowers punched with a 1/2" circle punch finishes off the card.
I got my haircut this morning and it sure feels great to have it shorter now that it is so hot out.  The stamping order came in today and several people were here today to pick up their order's.  I placed orders today for Stampin' Up! and Tastefully Simple, and worked on getting some things cleaned up and put away.  There is still more to do, but it is a start.  I worked some more tonight on the quilt.  I didn't finish piecing all the blocks, I have them about half done but I did get 3 rows of the quilt sewed together so I am beginning to see how it will look.  It is very bright and colorful.

Give Thanks Tin

This is the hostess gift I made and gave to Linda Mohn's tonight as a thank you for having her party. It is a set 4, 3" x 3"note cards and envelopes in a General Foods International Coffee tin that I altered. I used the Level 1 Hostess set Holiday Best to stamp the cards with. It is a great stamp set! Our hostesses serve such wonderful meals, it is always a very nice treat and interesting to see what they come up with! I just love it that they like to serve a meal before we stamp. Every one just kind of relaxes from the busy day they have had and they have time to get acquainted with one another. We had a great turnout tonight and five of the people out of 14 were new to our group but not new to stamping. We hope that you join us again. We enjoyed having you!

Door prizes and Hostess Gifts

I made this towel and tag as a thank you for Sandy for having her party. The tag uses the stamp set Friends 24-7. I appliqued the towel.
These are the little cups that I filled and decorated for door prizes. They have chipboard, ribbon, buttons and a peanut butter bon bon in them. The trick or treat stamp is from the level one hostess set, Holiday Best. I love it! I found the cute little orange cups a couple of months ago over at Reedsburg when I was visiting Sarah one day. I usually forget to take pictures of my Hostess gifts and Door Prizes. Aren't you proud of me that I remembered!!!!! I finished my projects for next month's stamp camp today and I am so happy about that as it was one of my goals for the week. Tomorrow I need to design some sample wedding invitations for Jenna and I need to get the inserts printed for the bridal shower invitations. Never a dull moment around here!

I thought I would give you an update on my road. They tore it all up on Monday but have not been back since to work on it. I see they are working on the street on the other side of town. It is extremely quiet because few cars are traveling on it. I feel like I am living out in the country right now! LOL I am glad that I don't live far down the street though as I can only go 5 mph as it is so rough.
