Together Forever

Here is another card from the swap.  It uses two Stampin' UP! stamp sets, Lovely Letters, and Together Forever.  Together Forever is stamped on the inside and I chose the letter "D" as both of my girls married names start with D so I figured I could use it for an anniversary card for one of them. (They never read the blog!)  The designer paper is from the Bella Bleu pack and is oh so pretty.  This card I think is much prettier in real life than in the photo.  It is a fairly simple card but quite elegant.  And both of the girls had Together forever on their wedding invitations, just with different stamp sets so either one of them would really like this but I think that I will use it for Jenna and Antonio's first wedding anniversary as Jenna loves blue.  Like her Mama.
First thing this morning, I had the pleasure of meeting Becky Gruenwald.  We have been corresponding through email.  Becky and her son came down to meet me today and she is very excited joining our stamping group.  I keep telling her how she will love all of you...so don't let me down gang...lol....I know you won't!  She has signed up to be hostess for October.  If you would like to be the lucky winner of the month of November, or later....let me know!  I work hard to make your party a success, and you get lots of goodies in return!
I am making good progress on the baby quilt.  40 square out of 60 are sewn and squared up, ready to be sewn into the top.  So I only have 20 to go, and I will be able to start putting the top together.  I have a list a mile long to do before the Milwaukee trip and the shower, and am not quite sure how I am going to get it all done with 2 more doctor's appointments added to this upcoming week, one the following week and maybe more will be added, but it all will get done some how!  I may have to do some improvising to my list and simplify some things!  Hope your weekend is going well! The Wedding Card

This is the wedding card I made for Antonio and Jenna.  I used the stamp set Together Forever, and used God's Blessings for the verse inside.  Of course Taffy had to be up on the stamping desk while I was working on it.  She was picking out flower's with her teeth out of my "Prettie's Kit".  Little stinker....she is something else!  You can't help but hold back a chuckle....she is just like having a two year old in the house.  And she is almost 2 by the way, she will be the end of February.  Then a little while later, I was ready to shoot her as I caught her walking across the curtain rod that is above my colbalt blue and blue & white collection and I about had a stroke!  LOL  I am telling her to get down...and she is backing up across the curtain rod.  Man.....that cat!  Any whoo...I used the new Bride's paper that is in the catalog for the base of the card.  It is so darn pretty!  You will love it....very elegant!

Wedding Treat Boxes

Merry Christmas!  I hope this finds you all safe and warm, and enjoying our dear Savior's birth!  We decided last night to change our Christmas to Saturday due to the bad weather.  So our family will be traveling home Sat. morning and we will start around 11:30 with Christmas Dinner, open gifts, then go out to Carlson's to decorate the reception hall, and back to Adams for rehearsal at 6:00.  It will be a packed busy day, but will probably be better for me in the long run rather than 3 long days!  I filled the treat boxes yesterday and thought you would like to see them.  There are 90 of them laying on the table.  The stamp set is Stampin' Up's! Together Forever and the "D" is from Lovely Letter's.  Isn't it interesting that both of my girls married names will start with a "D"!  It is hard to tell in the photo's but the "D" is popped up with dimensional's.  Have a joyous day!  Hugs!  Elaine

Treat Box and Wedding Card

Well...tomorrow is the big day! I woke up this morning from a sound sleep to the phone ringing. You know how when you are sleeping sound and you wake up kind of disoriented!?!? Well, that is how I was. And I woke up thinking, where am I suppose to be....what did I forget to do??? Does this sound like a mother of the bride who's daughter is getting married tomorrow? It does to me, and I didn't even realize that I was stressed. And the funny thing is that I had all my stuff done for the wedding on Wednesday except for making the wedding card which I did today! But it has been a very hectic month so it is understandable. Plus Carol and I packed up the flea market yesterday which was another big job. So I have Tastefully Simple sitting in boxes on my living room floor and craft items in the van as I will be selling at Women's Night Out on the 6th, plus there is more Taste Fully Simple in boxes sitting on the kitchen counter that just came that need to be priced but that can wait till next week. As you can see I have been stamping up a storm. I decorated 35 of these treat boxes to be put by each place setting. They are filled with peanut butter m&m's. That is what Sarah wanted put in them. And boy are they yummy!
I made the card with Together Forever. I just love how the mr. & mrs. stamped out. This set is such a wonderful set to make Wedding, and Anniversary Cards with. I just love it! These colors are Sarah's favorites so I think she will like it a lot. I also used the flower border and "to have & to hold" from the retired simply scrapping kit Tie the Knot. The flower, pearls and pin are from my pretties kit. I am such a little hoarder. I love the Pretties but hoard them as I don't want them to be gone. Never mind the fact we know a Stampin Up Demonstrator very well (ME) and can order another box any time I want! LOL BUT....little miss hoarder decided this was a special enough occasion to use them, what can be more special than your baby getting married!!!!

Wedding Invitations

This is a picture of the wedding invitations. I used the stamp set Together Forever and the matching wheel, Forever Flowers. When this stamp camp came out in our catalog last January, I thought "Oh.....this set is so beautiful, it would be so nice to make things for the girls when they get married!". Then I thought, you'd better not do that, they might not like the set. So first of all I ordered the wheel as I just loved that. So when Sarah came to me in May when she got engaged she asked me if I would make her invitations and things. Of course I jumped at the chance! On a whim I showed her a picture of the stamp set and she loved the sample and said that is what I want! (Miracles never cease...tee hee!) So that is where the idea for her wedding invitations began....page 46 of the Spring/Summer 08 Catalog. We made some changes to it and improved it greatly, in my humble opinion! When I CASE (Copy and share everything)I usually change something. That is how it is in the crafting world. An idea begins and gets changed, and then the next person changes it again, etc. Any hooo....Sarah just loved how they turned out and I have had a lot of compliments on them and the shower invitations.
