Slugger!

It was a very nice day today until this afternoon. The radio station reported bad thunderstorms coming and everyone started packing up around 1:30 or so. I got home at 2 and heard it start raining about 2:30 and one crack. Then I had a siesta and do not know if we had a bad storm or not! I woke up around 4:30 and have been sorting through the craft room and have a box of supplies ready to go down to the flea market....that is IF it doesn't rain. The report doesn't look good. Any who...Molly and Taffy were glad that I was home early and that they got to take a nap with me. If they wouldn't have woke me up so early....I wouldn't have needed a nap! I gave out samples today of Chocolate Pound Cake. Very Yummy for all of you Chocolate fans! Stop down and see me tomorrow. Who knows what I might be giving out! :-D Today's picture is a photograph that Lenore gave me when I was over there this week of Brooke in her t-ball uniform. Doesn't she look tough! That's my girl ...Brooke.

Sweet Shapes

Today's card uses the stamp set Sweet Shapes. Simple, yet elegant. I am baking my sample for tomorrow right now. I will be giving out samples of Chocolate Pound Cake at the Flea Market tomorrow. I had a busy day running some errands, going to a garage sale, and stopping in to visit at Paula's Enchanted Cottage. I got home around 2:30 as I was really starting to get in pain and hit the bed. The humidity and overdoing it is really catching up with me. I think the rest of getting my house in order is going to have to wait awhile as the bending/trying to lift things is killing me. Oh well...tomorrow shall be a brand new day! I talked to my sister today and she said that Brooke and Mike really enjoyed having me at there games. Guess my cheering didn't embarrass them....tee hee! Have a great weekend! Boo

Blossoms Abound

Today's card feature's the stamp set Blossom's Abound and the greeting Warm Wishes is from the set Hugs and Wishes. This card is much prettier in real life. For some reason the colors did not scan well. I think because they are light. I am back from my little adventure. My mom and I went over to my sister's house on Tuesday and came home on Wednesday. We celebrated Brooke's 7th birthday. I took a whole bunch of pictures and will be shooting out invitations to view them in a separate email. If you do not receive an invitation and would like to view them, just send me an email. Well, I now have the living room set up again and it is all done and looks great! Susie's stamping order arrived and she picked that up today. Wait till you see my new chocolate shirt! It is adorable!

Big Flower made with Circle Punch

Today's card is made using the 1 3/8" circle punch to make the circles that form the big flower on this card. I am going bumming today so this will be a short post! I will tell you more about that later! Hugs...Boo

Pick A Petal 2

Hello! I promised you another card with Pick A Petal and here it is! Diane told me this weekend that she thought this card looked like you were looking through a window. I hadn't thought of that but I guess it does. I had another busy day today. I ran some errands and some more fixtures from the house got moved to the flea market. I am trying to clean up the after math of the tornado that looks like has hit inside my house. It is getting empty around here except for all of the stuff that I had to move off the fixtures so that they could be taken. But with all the comes some cleaning and organizing so that is a good thing. I am totally rearranging things and I will take some pictures when I get it all done. First I have to figure out what I want to do! The saga continues......Boo

PIck A Petal

Good Afternoon! I am home early today as we got rained out at the flea market so I got home around 2 o'clock. Now the sun is shining again but it rained enough to get the vendor's to pack up and leave. Only a few were left when Diane and I left. Speaking of Diane....she made the best roll ups today with our Howlin' Horseradish Dip mix. They had tortilla shells, roast beef or ham (she made 2 different ones) and cheese. Absolutely yummy. She is such a good cook. I gave samples of Nana's apple cake today and everyone loved that. Today's card is with Pick A Petal. This stamp set has so many possibilities! I will be posting another card tomorrow using the same set but it will amaze you how different the other card looks!

Circle of Friendship

My what a beautiful day it was today! Today was my first day in the new stall. Lady Di was so kind to come and help me. We gave samples of Bacon Bacon Dip and Nana's Apple Cake today. Yummy, that is for sure. I had a nice visit with Sarah today. She is down there on the weekends helping my mom. Zack and her collect the money from the tables, and help out running the stall, and taking care of any other problems that occur. I also had a nice visit with her Dad and Heather who came to see her today. It was so nice not to have to set up and tear down today. And when it started raining...all Diane and I had to do was quick roll in a table. Wonderful! I was really wiped out tonight as Molly woke me up around 4:30 this morning and I got up around 5:30. After I left the flea market, I went through McDonald's drive through and ate supper by the computer. Then I layed down and fell asleep about 20 minutes into watching a biography on Sophie Loren. Around 7pm, Sandy and Doug Renner stopped over which was good so that I got woke up...to borrow some clear quilting thread as Sandy had run out. They got to meet Taffy. Sandy was surprised when Molly came up to her right along with Taffy. Those to are like "monkey see...monkey do!" Molly is not going to let Taffy get all the attention that is for sure! I was having trouble waking up so excuse me for being a like a zombie Sandy!...LOL Now I have been working on cleaning things up from the aftermath of moving this week. It looks a lot better although I still have work to do. I found the "missing" box of Tastefully Simple tonight. My order came on Thursday and I was missing one box. I decided to start looking around out side to see if someone delivered it and stuck it some where else. It wasn't in the garage but was on the front porch so I just got that stuff marked and will take it down there tomorrow. I just finished stamping my business cards and am about ready to attach them to the Tastefully Simple Catalogs. Always something to do that is for sure. Today's card is a little 3 x3 note card that I made with the stamp set Circle of Friendship which is on sale this month. This set is also retiring...so now is the time to order it before it is gone for good! Boo

Fresh Cuts Note Card

Today was a much better day for me. I felt pretty good when I got up this morning. I ended up going to the Flea Market to put some more stuff in and did a really dumb thing when I was there. I decided to play my cd player in the van and was really enjoying my Rascal Flatts CD. They are my favorite group. Anyways after awhile I got tired out and decided that I'd better go home before I really over did it again. Well....the van would not start because I had run down the battery. After many phone calls, mom came down to the flea market and she talked to some guys that were on the other end of the grounds and a boy was there that lived in the trailer park next to the flea market and he had jumper cables at his house. So mom took him over there to get them and he got me started back up. Yeah! I have learned my lesson and won't try that one again no matter how much I love listening to Rascal Flatts! With all the moving of stuff in and out of the house, my home looks like a tornado has struck it! Oh well, eventually it will look better. Today's card is a sample of the Fresh Cut Note cards that go with the Fresh Cuts stamp set that I made the card with that I showed you yesterday. These come 10 in a package with 10 envelopes and are Whisper White with the die cut flower out of the middle of them. I took my paper piercer and embroider floss and stitched around the flower. I used the stamp set and stamped a little flower and cut that out and attached on the top. Then attached a button with a glue dot after I ran embroider floss through it and knotted it. Inside I attached a 3 3/4 x 3 3/4" piece of designer paper with dimensional s and stamped "for you" from the stamp set on the outside. Boo.

Fresh Cuts

Good Evening. It has kind of been a long day for me as I had to rest most of the day as I have been in pain and too much bending/lifting has caught up with me. But I am hoping tomorrow will be a better day! The good news is that I got caught up with some friends on the phone today and I caught up on some reading. Here is a picture of the other card that we made at Susie's party with the Fresh Cuts stamp set. This set is a sneak peek set of what will be in the new catalog. It is available for purchase this month and then won't be available until the new catalog comes out on August 11th. Susie received this set for FREE on top of her other hostess benefits!!!! And several people ordered this and those lucky people will have lots of fun with it! Do you want one too?!?!?!? You can still order this until the end of the month. Plus when you order the stamp set you can get a set of Fresh Cut Notes for $5.00. I will show you a sample of these tomorrow! Boo

Simply Said

Good Evening! Well it has been a very busy day but lucky for you...I had uploaded the cards from Susie's party so you will get to see ONE of them today! This card is made with the stamp set Simply Said. This card was a big hit with the group. They all thought it was so pretty! I had another busy day today. I got my space at the Flea Market around 4pm. yesterday and unloaded what I had in the van into the stall. I called Diane and she came down to see it and we made plans to work on it today. She gave me strict orders not to be coming back down last night or she wouldn't help me today. I just reloaded the van at home and hit the hay as that was enough for one day. We worked about 4 hours today. I finally had to quit and went through Mc Donalds', took some pain medication as I was hurting pretty bad. I ate my lunch by the computer and then hit the hay. My furry little friends were happy about that. They had a little fight on top of my legs laying in bed as they didn't want to share me. Molly has always slept on top of my legs and now Taffy likes to do that too, or between them. Finally they both found a spot and we all crashed till 5:30 pm! I got some more stuff ready to take tonight but am taking it easy as I still hurt. It looks pretty good down there so far. More news tomorrow!

Susie's Party

Last night was Susie's stamping party and if you missed it...you missed out on a fun time! I keep hoping Susie will adopt me. She is sweet, a wonderful cook, lives in a gorgeous log home, I think she would be a good person to be adopted by. So far I haven't make that work....:-D, but she does spoil me pretty good! Here is what I gave her for a hostess gift last night to thank her for having a party. I used a Build a Brad on top of it and showed the gals how to use them. They are so quick and easy to do and look so neat!

Pictures of my set up outdoors at the Flea Market this weekend

Good Afternoon! I needed to take some pictures of my craft items as I want to sell at a craft show at Rome in November and they want to see pictures of your handcrafted items. So I shot a couple of pictures of my set up at the flea market this weekend and thought I would post them here so that you could see them and then I printed them and will send them in with my entry form. True Friend

Today's card is with the stamp set True Friend. I like this set alot. The colors of the this card kind of remind me of fall. It would be a good one for friends with fall birthday's or someone who likes the earth tones. Today was another lovely day at the flea market. The weather man had the weather reports all wrong this weekend which was great. We sure don't need any more rain at the moment! It looks like I might be able to move into my new stall sometime this week. Yahoo...no more packing and unpacking once I get it set up! Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! Boo

Circle of Friendship/Big Flowers

Good afternoon stampers! As promised I am posting another card for you today. Actually I cheated as this is a card I made last night and loaded all up on the computer so it would be ready for today as I knew that I would be tired when I got home from the flea market, and I am! It was a beautiful day out there today! I gave out samples of Garlic Garlic Dip and sold out of it today! Yeah! Tomorrow I will be giving out Onion Onion Dip samples so stop down and see me!

This card I used three stamp sets Big Flowers, Circle of Friendship and Spring pictograms. I just love stamps that are done in writing. They are my favorites. I am stamping away to fill up my cards racks for the flea market. I will be moving in my new stall this week or next week. Until tomorrow....enjoy the sunshine! BOO

The Litttle Chair Snatcher!

I was telling you in the last post that little Miss Taffy had been snatching my stamping chair every time I got up. Well she looked so darn cute that I decided to take some pictures of her. Normally she is curled up in a tighter ball when she is sleeping. She started stirring when I came over there but I still got some cute shots of her. Come and visit her soon...she likes company! Boo

Refuge & Strength

Today I made 10 of these cards. One for my dear friend Doris who just lost her husband and the rest I will be selling. I can't wait till I get set up in my new space at the flea market. My new goal is to post a card a day on here. A pretty steep goal as I don't stamp every day and am not always home but I am going to try! Sometimes I may have to post more than one to make up for missed days. Right now I have some ahead...tee hee so should be able to make this goal for at least a week! Taffy stole my chair again. Every time I leave my stamping chair she snatches it, curls up in a ball and takes a nap. I think the warmth of the chair and listening to Josh Groban puts her to sleep. He inspires my creativity when I am working. It is a beautiful day in Mayberry today. The sun is shining...it is not raining for a change, and there is a little bit of wind which might help dry things up a bit. Make it a great day! Boo

Back from Mad Town!

I just got back from a little trip to Jenna's house. I had set up at the flea market in the morning and we got rained out around noon. :-( Jenna called around 3:30 and wanted to know if I wanted to come down to visit as she had 4 days off in a row which is very unusual. So I quick packed up and in about a half hour later I was on my way to Madison. After I got there we went to the grocery store and picked up some food. I had some beer bread left from the flea market as I was giving out samples of it and we made Spinach Herb dip (another Tastefully Simple product) and enjoyed munching on that before we had pizza. It is oh so yummy! On Sunday we went to West Towne Mall and looked at a cool kitchen store. We had lunch at the food court then went to a class at the Apple store about the new operating system that Apple came out with called Leopard. It was an interesting class. This is the second class we have taken there. We like to take classes there when I visit. The classes are FREE! How can you beat that! The hard part is to walk out the store without buying an Apple product. They have some AWESOME stuff! We had decided that we wanted to see a movie and we had a little time in between so we looked around at Best Buy. The third place we went and didn't spend any money! Boy ...we were on Best Behavior! We went to see the movie Sex and the City which was real good. I had watched the TV show and really enjoyed that so it was fun to see the movie, and it was also a tear jerker. Loving someone can be so hard which made me sad. On Monday we hung around her apartment during the day as she had things to get done. Her apartment is so nice. She has a nice little studio apartment which is only a few years old and everything is so nice and new in it. I would love living in it but would need another huge studio (or 2....tee hee) for all my stamping and quilting stuff! LOL We ran some errands in the evening and then went to the Good Will Store where we both ended up with a shopping cart full of stuff! One of the things Jenna bought was a Disney trivia game and we played that after we got home and watched some funny movies and had a good time. I finally BEGGED to go to bed at 1 am. as I was so tired. I am not used to staying up to midnight every night like we do when I stay there! I headed home on Tuesday afternoon and stopped in Portage at the Walmart on the way home. I applied for a grant from Thrivent which was approved and I decided to do some of the shopping there. I came out of the store the first time with 2 rotary cutters, and 2 cutting blades and a shopping cart full of flat sheets (51!!!!) that will be used for quilt backs. I got the manager to give us a discount so that helped. So now the first half of the grant has been spent. Then I went back in and did my grocery shopping and hauled out another cart full of groceries. Between having my flea market stuff in the van, stuff Jenna sent back with me to sell at the flea market, the stuff I bought at Good Will, my clothes and pillows, Community Quilting's stuff, AND my groceries...my van was really loaded down! But you have to make the most of your trips with these gas prices! My plan is to not go out of town until I go to the doctor next month. I hadn't been out of town since May 1st and was going through withdrawal.....LOL I truly love Mayberry but I am happiest when I go out of town about once per week, two at the longest. The good part is that I have been getting alot of quilting and stamping done!
