Vintage Card
Today is Deanna's wedding and I hope that Sarah is doing okay. It will be a long weekend for her as last night they had rehearsal, today is the wedding and reception, and tomorrow is the gift opening. I hope she isn't too tuckered out. I talked to Jen tonight, I was missing them this morning, and she said she had felt the same way. She really wants me to come to Milwaukee after I get healed up, as she would like to see me, and also wants a date night with Antonio. Guess who Grammie will get to be with!?!?!? Her little ray of sunshine! So, I hope to heal quickly, and to be able to go soon! Have a great weekend! Elaine

Wonderful Favorites Tags
Happy 4th of July Weekend! I have been busy finishing up Halloween tags, packaging them, and pricing all the stuff I made this week so it is ready to go for the weekend. I also did some cleaning today....I know....hard to believe. Even the cats were amazed. They were following me around, and I would imagine they were thinking that it was about time I left the stamping cave! Taffy has been tired of me being in there. She will come and meow at me, especially at night. She wants me to go to bed so she can get petted. Molly just demands petting time when I am at the computer. She has got that one figured out, that I can scroll and pet her at the same time. They are smart creatures, that is for sure! I just finished having some soup and my stomach is throwing fits. Sure hope they figure this out next week and start me on a treatment plan. It sure is not fun to eat these days. Otherwise I am feeling good, and pretty rested. I should be though as I have been home all week long, and have gotten lots of rest. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Stop down and see me if you get a chance. Elaine

Flower Gift tin

Hello- Today's post is an altered tin project. Fill the bag inside with some sort of goody, tie a bow around the top and you are all set. The designer paper I used on this can is Stampin' Up! Tea Party. The word "friend" is from the stamp set Wonderful Favorites. The Modern Label punch was used to make the tag and I punched 2 flowers with the 5 petal flower punch and curled them to make the flower. The ribbon is pink taffeta. It looks so springy and cheerful to me. Unlike the view out the window! Another month and spring should be here. It will be nice to see green grass again!
I got my haircut this morning. Boy was it long. I hadn't had it cut since the beginning of December, about 3 weeks before the wedding so it really needed it. I decided to make a stop at Practical Cents before heading home. Not too much new there. A quick stop at Pamida and I was home for the day. I worked on magnets while chit chatting on the phone and got 11 finished this afternoon. I had done the coloring on some of them on other days otherwise I wouldn't have gotten that much done. I just got up from my rest time and had some supper. Little Miss Taffy is busy licking out the empty yogurt container. She has decided that she likes yogurt and she sat on the couch patiently waiting for me to get finished to get the empty container....lol I think she associates fruity smells with yogurt as this morning when I was putting on lotion she got all excited and was looking around trying to figure out where it was coming from.

Great Friend/Wonderful Favorite

This card I used two stamp sets on. The word "wonderful" is from the stamp set Wonderful Favorite's. The butterfly and the verse are from the stamp set Great Friend. I just love that set and I am sure you will be seeing lot's more of it. I glued some pearls on the butterfly from the "Pretties Kit". They give projects such an elegant touch. The designer paper is Pink Pirouette and the panels are layered on a solid panel of Pink Pirouette which is then mounted on Riding Hood Red Card Stock.

Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper Cards

I usually make up some sample cards with a stamp set that I want to feature a particular month or in this case I decided to feature a Designer Series Paper. I made this batch of cards with a bunch of different stamp sets and accessories to show case the DSP Good Morning Sunshine. It is a fun funky paper, kind of retro with all the owls and birds and 70's colors. I had a lot of fun coming up with these and playing with our new chipboard owls and birds.
