Manhatten Embossing Folder
I just love this Manhatten Embossing Folder. You can make such quick and elegant cards with it. I ran a piece of chocolate chip card stock through the Big Shot in the embossing folder and then cut out the portions of the card stock that were not embossed. I stamped "Best Wishes" from the stamp set Sincere Salutations and then made a bow with 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grograin. WaLaaaaaa!!! What a quick and sinchie card!
And elegant to boot!

Manhatten Flower Texture Embossing Folder

Today's card feature's the Manhatten Flower Texture Embossing Folder which is the center panel of this card. I just love it. It is such an elegant look. The designer paper is Parisian Breeze, another favorite of mine, white satin ribbon, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White Card Stock, Stamp Set: Fundamental Phrases, and silver hodgepodge hardware.

Manhattan Texturz Embossing Folder

Today's card was made with the Manhattan Texturz Embossing Folder. After you have run a piece of shimmery white card stock through the embossing folder, you lay the raised embossed side down on your work surface and brayer a couple of colors of ink on the back side (or debossed side) of your card stock. Blend until you get it how you like it. Then flip it over and cut out your roses and attach the back or debossed side face up to your card front! Before I attached mine, I stamped leaves from the set A Rose is A Rose. Easy Peasy....and looks oh so hard!
It is hard to believe but it is that time a year again. Today I ordered 3 cases of catalog's. The current catalog will end on June 30th and the new catalog will start on July 1st! We are going back to a one catalog per year system starting with this catalog. I also ordered the clips assortment, and craft and paper scissors with my Great Rewards points today. We can earn Great Reward points if your sales are over $1000.00 per quarter and you get a point for each dollar. I have been saving my points for the past 3 quarters and redeemed some of them today. The new scissors will be for cutting ribbon only!!! I have heard that they cut it like butter so I am excited about trying them out.

April Stamp Camp

Here are three of the projects that we made at Stamp Camp this month. We also made Sarah's wedding invitation, see Oct 08 post for a picture of that. The gals learned some new techniques this month. The one with the black flowers from Upsey Daisy is an emboss resist technique with sponging. We had a lot of gals who learned how to emboss for the first time and they love seeing the "magic" of it rising on the card stock. The pink mother's day card was made with the new Manhatten texture die and vellum and was ran through the big shot. Lot's of fun pretty cards!
I have still been slaving away on my house but had a little break with Jenna, Antonio, and Diana being here the past two days. We met Sarah in the Dells last night at Applebee's and had a nice family dinner. Today we met my mom at Family Affair for lunch and had a nice time. The kids left late this afternoon and I was sorry to see them go. I had a couple of batches of company this afternoon and also marked a bunch of retired stamp sets to put out to sell at the Friendship Shoe Box Swap that Melissa and I are hosting here tomorrow. I did a few things at the fleamarket tonight before going to the church for final set up for the swap tonight. I just finished eating supper and returning a few phone calls and I am now headed to bed. I know I have been neglicting my blogging...but it has been an extremely busy month. After tomorrow I don't really have anything planned and I am SOOOOOOO......glad! If I ever get my new se
