Garden Whimsy post a note holders

I used the stamp set Garden Whimsy on this batch of post a note holders.  I love the bakers twine wrapped around them.  It adds a cute touch to them.

Today I went to the library board's potluck and meeting.  I took the scrapbook and they are very happy with the work I have done on it, so that is good.  I left it with them and they are going to write down names and information for me so that I can start on the captions, titling, and finishing touches to the pages.  They asked me if I would sit at the table with the library board at the Chocolate Affair with the scrapbook to show people, and to gather information from the locals.  So I am going to do that.  It is on Feb 5th from 10 till 2, at the middle school I think (?).  I am not sure about that, but stop by and see me and the scrapbook if you are around.  I also went and got a much need haircut this afternoon.  It feels great.  It was really getting long.  I am headed to craft right now.  I think I am going to make sewing themed cards.  Have a good one!  Elaine

Garden Whimsey and Animal Stories Book marks

Hello!  I had lots of people in and out today with the new catalog arriving.  Nadine was over this afternoon and we got her party finalized and I put it in right away.  In between things I worked on making up some card making kits to sell.  These will be really great for people who have trouble putting colors together.  I have had people tell me that I am good at this so I decided to make up some kits that have card stock, designer paper, ribbon, buttons, and stamped images all to match.  A little cutting and gluing and you can have a dozen adorable cards.  Hop on over to the flea market to pick one up and some of the packages of new ribbon I am putting in!
Diane had a craving for Chinese today and asked me if I would go with her and that she would treat.  We had a most delicious meal and good conversation.  I am pooped, and think I will get my jammies on and hit the hay early tonight!  I am sure I know some kitties who would be very happy about that!  Have a great weekend!  Me

Garden Whimsey

Good Evening!  Boy it seems like forever since I have posted.  It sure was a beautiful weekend, perfect weather for opening weekend of the flea market.  I  was a tired camper.  Saturday I took a two hour nap after I got home and yesterday almost a 3 1/2 hour nap!  And still slept from about midnight to seven!  But I feel pretty rested today, and I got some things accomplished.  I made Apple bread and Oatmeal Scotchies this morning, and made a trip to the bank.  I just walked in the door and Melissa was calling.  She was at Practical Cents and there was a Red, White, and Blue quilt she thought I would like.  So I made a trip down there, got that and a few pieces of fabric and a bag of thread.  After I had a sandwich, I made 2 of these cards, rested awhile, and just finished making cauliflower soup.  I am eating some right now with some apple bread and boy is it yummy!  Taffy and Molly are thrilled about the new quilt.  As I was tossing it out on the bed.....they were right under it.  And after I got it all situated, they each took their spots.  I walked by and about laughed out loud as they looked like two princesses on their thrown.  I do believe they think I bought it for them!  Little do they know, I did!

Bee Card

This is another sample I made using the Garden Whimsy stamp set. I used the butterfly antenna's for the bee's antenna's. The bugs on the bottom of the card and the circle verse are from Garden Whimsy and the petal's were stamped with Pick a Petal.

Garden Whimsy

Hi! Sorry it has been awhile since I have posted. I wasn't feeling very good last week. I have migraine type headaches all week long. I did some stamping in between resting. We had great weather for the flea market last weekend and it was a busy weekend. I am kind of tired today after 3 days of it. Here are the Garden Whimsy cards I promised you that I would post.

Garden Whimsy

Here is a card that I did to use for a sample on how to use the Garden Whimsy set another way. I will be posting more samples that I made with Garden Whimsy in the next few days.
I have decided to hold a Christmas Stamp a Stack at Immanuel Lutheran Church on September 29th. It will be open house style and you can come and go between 2 and 8 pm. I will have stations set up and you can make as many of the cards that you would like to make. There will not be a "fee" for the stamp a stack, you will pay a dollar for each card that you make. You can make 5 cards or 30 cards that is up to you. This will be a great way to get a jump start on your Christmas Cards! Call now to reserve your spot!
I didn't do any crafting today. :-( It was a cleaning, paper work, bill paying day. But it looks a lot better around here and sometimes I have to take time to do that sort of stuff whethor I want to or not! Have a great day! Boo

August Stamp Camp

Here are pictures of the projects we did at the August Stamp Camp's this month. The coffee cup card is the challenge card for September. What that means is that anyone who wants to participate can make this card, drop in the bag when they enter the church door so that know one sees it. Later, I set up all the cards, give them a number, and each person gets to vote as to which is there favorite card. The winner gets to keep ALL of the cards. So they will use the layout from the coffee cup card but can change the stamp set and use what ever colors they choose. I will try and remember to shoot pictures of the cards that are entered in the card challenge next month so that you can see there creations!
