Photo Cube
I shared with you before Christmas that I was making a lot of my Christmas gifts. One gift that I gave was a photo cube that I made for Melissa. I forgot to shoot some photo's of it to show you so I got it back from her and took some pictures of it. I put my favorite pictures of some of our "adventures" on it. Melissa and I just love the picture of Diane and her "look of SHOCK" when she see's St. Vinnie's Dig and Save for the first time, where Melissa and I go to "dumpster dive" as we call it. I love making projects with photograph's. It combines two of my great loves, taking photographs and scrap booking! It is one of my favorite things to do! Do what you love! Boo
Tammy Renner's Stamping Party
Good Morning! As you can see, I am trying to get caught up on some of my posting before the month ends. Monday night I had a stamping party at Tammy Renner's house. We had a great turn out with 13 people attending! Tammy served us a fabulous meal and had the basement all set up so nice and cozy for us. Man...if I had a basement like that, we would be having stamp camp's here. But fortunately we are so blessed to be able to use the church.
I like to give my hostesses a little thank you gift from me on top of the hostess benefits they receive for having the party. When Tammy was unwrapping her hostess gift, I was telling the story behind it and she quick ripped it open, squealed, and ran and gave me a hug! Which gave me a BIG smile. It is nice when you actually tickle someone with the right gift! Now I am sure you are dying in suspense to know what it was! Tammy had been at the house one day and she spotted a pile of magazines/book's called CARDS Magazine. I just love that publication but it is too rich for my budget. Each book cost $20.00 and it is a monthly publication! Sooooo.....I put a post out on some stamping boards to see if anyone had any back issues that they wanted to sell. I had a number of people contact me and the people that were willing to sell them for $5.00 or less, I purchased them from. Any how....Tammy was paging through a couple and ooohhing and aahhing. So I found one for her later on and gave it to her at the party and she was thrilled! Later after everyone left and we were going over her hostess benefits, she said I am not sure what I am happiest about most, the benefits or the book! One little book or a couple hundred dollars worth of free stuff....what a choice....that is too funny! It just proves the point that gifts don't have to be expensive to make a person happy, just from the heart. Any hooo.....Tammy is getting the Big Shot for free!! YIPPEE!
The purse card we made with the big shot. The purse was made with two cordinating paper's and that you run through the Big Shot Machine with the Top Note Die. Then you cut each piece to 2 ", leaving you enough pieces to make a second card at the same time. The the flower's and leaves were cut with the Bird's and Bloom's die also ran through the Big Shot. I love how the flower's are all sized so that you can stack them on top of one another. What a cute embellishment for a card, scrapbook page or altered object! Think of all the color combinations you could make! "Thank you" is stamped from the set Short and Sweet. It is a little hard to see in the photo but the Riding Hood Red Card Stock that the purse is mounted on is stamped with Bella Toile. Isn't it stinkin' cute! I just love that card! And the other card is made with the Bella Blooms stamp set and Bella Rose papers which is a cute different way to use these punches and a very fast card to make.
Sandy Wellumson - 2 - $5.00 Gift Cards
I have a special thing that I do for people who bring people to my stamp camps and get them started in stamping. I give them a $5.00 gift certificate for each person that they get to sign up for stamp camp. After the person has gone to stamp camp at least 2 times, then the person who brought them receives a $5.00 gift certificate from me! Well...Sandy has had two certificates coming to her for a few months now and we were finally able to take a picture of her at Tammy Renner's party on Monday night. She received gift cards from me for introducing Barb Cook and Linda Mohn to our group! We are so glad to have you both as a party of our "Cult".....LOL I think the BEST part of stamping is all the wonderful friends you make! I am so glad that all of you are a part of my life! Thanks again Sandy...and HUGS!!!! Love, Boo

A Weekend of Fun
My sweet girls......Sarah and Jenna!
Antonio being silly when we sang happy birthday to him! He put some of his dessert on his nose!
Brooke showing her cool bag, a late Christmas present from Jenna, and Dianna...my future Grand daughter. We met this weekend for the first time and hit it off great! Saturday I went down to Sarah and Zach's for the day. Jenna, Antonio, and Dianna came and they spent the night at Sarah and Zach's. Lennard (the girls dad) and Heather came and we all had lunch together and visited. They left later in the afternoon. The kids started playing with Wi Fit and I saw how that works for the first time which is pretty cool. Then we played the game Apple's to Apple's and that is alot of fun too! Dianna and I were showing each other our cards and were accused of cheating...tee hee! That wasn't our intention at all, we were just getting accquainted! We ended up in lots of fits of giggles. Dianna and I also made some scenes with the fun foam gingerbread house I had brought for her. I had supper with them all. Dianna seemed disappointed when I was getting ready to leave. She said aren't you going to stay over night!?!? I was telling Diane this later and she pipes in....and says....did Dianna say, "Won't your mom let you!". And we got a good laugh out of that because that is what her grandson Tanner had said to me when he wanted me to stay over night there. Any hoo...I stopped at the grocery store and Walgreens after I left there and made my way back to good ole' Mayberry. I was wiped and happy to see my bed! On Sunday the kids all came up and my sister Lenore and her family and we all spent the day at Mom and Dad's. I didn't see much out of the kids at all at Mom's as Brooke was busy playing hostess to Dianna. They hit it off like to pea's in a pod. So I was glad that I had the time with Dianna on Saturday. We are now buddies! It was a busy fun weekend!

Reading People
This is a book that I am reading right now that I highly recommend. It is a great book if you are interested in people and what makes them tick. One of the things that I really like about this author is that she uses a lot of different scenario's and doesn't look at things as black and white. I have it home from the inner library loan system right now but I also looked it up on Amazon and you can buy it pretty cheap in the used book section. This one that I would recommend for your library.
My excitement for the weekend is that I woke up at 7:30 on Saturday morning to an awful smelling house! It smelled like something was burning electrically. I could only smell it on the main floor, and not in the basement. I thought maybe the thermostat had fried as it said 60 degree's in here and it didn't feel that cold to me. BUT....I had just crawled out of bed and was nice and warm under two blankets, a rag quilt, plus the electric mattress pad set on 5! I called the furnace man and he showed up around 9. The blower had went out. By the time he left at 10 and $211.00 later.......I was freezing. So crawled back into my warm bed till the house warmed up. I really didn't get anything done yesterday as I was tired and cold, but caught up on some programs I had taped, read some chapters in this book, did some work on the computer, did dish and cooked some spaghetti and had a nap. And the funny thing is that I went to bed around 11:30 and slept straight through till 11 am this morning! But I had only gotten a few hours of sleep the night before so I guess I needed to catch up. That doesn't happen to often, but I love it when it does! Today was a very productive day so it pays to get rested up! I have stamp camp for Feb. finished and one project ready for Tammy's party next week! Have a good night! Boo

Love You Much
Baby it's cold outside! I am holed up in the house for the second day in a row, working away. I have been preparing projects for next months stamp camp and Tammy's party. So far I have 2 projects designed, cut, and packaged. Today I thought I would share with you some cards that I made with the Love You Much Bundle. This comes with the Love You Much stamp set, Candy Lane Designer Paper, and Heart to Heart punch. A very fun set to work with. The color combination s in the set work great together. These cards were fast and easy to design. I made them up for samples and showed them at this months stamp camps. My neighbor was over today that gets a lot of cards from me and she spot them right away and said that she would be back later for some Valentines so I thought that I'd better get them posted on here right away before they disappear! Stay safe...and stay warm!

Many Happy Returns
Good Morning! I wanted to show you another variation I did of the "h" card. I messed up one of my h's when I was putting a bunch of these cards this morning, probably because I was half asleep! Any hoo....I decided to put a flower and button on instead and I like this one just as much as the original. Stay warm! Boo

January Stamp Camp Cards
Whew! My two stamp camps for this week are done! And when I got home at 5 this afternoon, I was one tired and hungry little girl! So I made a quick supper of fried eggs and hash browns. I am out of bread so couldn't have toast with it. :-(
I read my emails while eating and then hit the bed with the NEW Catalog! Yippee Skip! Getting the new catalog is like getting the JC Penney Christmas catalog when you were a kid! A couple of people stopped in tonight to pick up there's and the stamp camp girls got there's today so I know there are a lot more people drooling over it tonight too! Lady Di and I were looking at it together over the phone....and I am sure the Minerva and I will be again tomorrow over the phone as she isn't going to have a car tomorrow and stopped and picked one up tonight! Then I stamped and put together 11 of this card that has the saying My Dear, Kind, Wonderful Friend. I just love that stamp! And the Ginormous Flower stamp that I used on it is retiring...boo hoo. The two cards with the glitter and embossing on them DID NOT scan well, so have mercy on me.....they are much better in real life and not ugly as they appear on here!

Funny Little Tanner
Lady Di's kids came up this weekend and I was invited over last night for cake. This is a picture of her grandson Tanner. He is 3 years old and is a barrel of laughs! Diane's birthday is the same day as Elvis Presley's and she received two of the same card that sing an Elvis song. Tanner is holding one of them. Tanner had a package of little hot wheel cars that his Uncle Donny had bought him that afternoon when they were shopping. We were sitting across the table from each other and he decided that we should say 1....2....3....and then crash our cars at each on top of the table top. We would do this and then laugh hysterically. We had an absolute blast. After we had been doing this for awhile...he asked me if I would be his best friend! I thought that was so cute and sweet and my first inkling that he thought I was a kid too. A little bit later he asked me where I was going to sleep! I told him that I wasn't going to stay over night and he kept insisting that I should and was telling me where I could sleep. Finally he said to me...."Won't your mother let you?" (which at that point I wanted to roll on the floor laughing, but had to be somewhat serious) and I said "No, my mom won't let me". And then he was satisfied! Too funny! Then I knew for sure that he thought I was just another kid! I thought that I might get put in time out as we were having too much fun! Three is such a fun age! Enjoy the little one's in your life! Boo
Old Christmas Card Fronts
I was just reading a post on one of my stamping groups about what to do with used Christmas cards. You can send them to this gal. I am copying and pasting the information that I read so that you can send you'res to her for a very worthy cause.
After February 2009 when St Jude's Ranch stops accepting them, I'll take them. I'm the card coordinator for Operation Quiet Comfort and am collecting the card fronts (store bought and hand made) to make into the cards for next years holiday shipment. OQC supports over 60 combat support hospitals and the cards are completed with personal messages and given to wounded troops and the medical staffs that care for them.

Posy Table Topper
I have been holed up sewing away. I finished sewing a Winnie-the-Pooh baby quilt top today and went upstairs and picked out some fabrics to make another quilt with some cow fabrics that I have had for a very long time. I also picked out a little pink floral to use for the binding on the Posy table topper that I finished this afternoon. I think I had worked on it in the summer or early fall but never got it finished. It just needed binding and I had looked through my stash downstairs at the time but didn't find the right color to go with it. Usually it is not hard to pick out a binding for a project but this one was because of the style and color's of the quilt. I am glad that I stumbled across just the right print for it today and that it is one more UFO (unfinished object) that is completed! Well...I need to hop in the shower so that I can get ready to go out to Lady Di's house. Her children and grandchildren are here and I have been invited out to have birthday cake with them later! Enjoy your day! Boo

Lady Di's 65th Birthday with the Yackette's!
Last night the Yackette's went out for our monthly get together. It was Lady Di's birthday yesterday so she got to choose the place to go to eat. She chose the Branding Iron in WI Rapids. We had 3 gals with birthday's this month but the other gals were not able to attend. I decided to bake some yummy brownies to take along as a treat to celebrate all the birthdays. The restaurant gave Diane a piece of cheesecake with raspberries on top which she said was very good. I ordered a stuffed chicken with broccoli and cheese that was to die for! We had a great time as usual and I am thankful that the weather was good and that it didn't snow for a change! Happy Birthday Lady Di! Here's to many MORE!!!! Love ya ...my dear friend!

Northwoods Towel
I have been trying to remember to post every day but today I remembered after midnight so I am missing a day. I took generic Tylenol Pm and should be fast asleep in my warm bed as I took it 3 hours ago but sometimes it doesn't work and tonight is one of those times! I went to Practical Cents today to look for a couple of things that the girls have me scouting for but didn't find what they were looking for. But I did pick up some fabric, some neat little clippy things that attach to a table and you can put a knotted grocery bag into and presto...you have a bag for scraps! I attached one to a white folding table that I have my sewing machine on much to Taffy's delight! She was driving me nuts for about 5 minutes or so as she was using my leg as a tree and was playing with the sewing machine cord and the plastic bag. Finally I got sick of it as her claws were hurting my leg so I went to the kitchen to get the dreaded spray bottle! She of course didn't try that again so I kind of wasted a trip but she also knew the spray bottle was there so she didn't want to get sprayed so perhaps it wasn't a wasted trip after all. She sat up on the table with me for a bit and watched me sew then took off for a nap. I was working on a baby quilt today. I did a snowball pattern with Dora fabric that I got from Minerva (aka Melissa). Thankyou Minerva! I did cut and complete the top today and was pretty happy about that as I felt like I had a productive day but you will have to wait till it is finished to see that. But...I do have something for you to see. I stitched four of these Northwood towels this week. I think they turned out pretty cute. I did forget to tell you that I found a Beanie Baby pole at the thrift shop that I will be able to display stuffed animals on at the flea market so was pretty happy about that! I also made a trip to the library to pick up some books and music that I ordered. All the libarians know me by name as I am a frequent visitor! I never look around in the library, I order everything from home on the computer and check the new "Don't miss list" each month. It is such a wonderful service and saves me alot of money. Every now and then I find a book that I have to have and usually order it from the used book section on Amazon. I have had amazingly good luck with that and the books I have purchased have always been in NEW condition. If you haven't ordered from the library or from Amazon...check it out! You will love it! Boo

Count Blessing's Mug
Today I thought I would share with you a very fun mug that I got from my mother for Christmas. For those of you who don't know....I absolutely love chocolate. I love it so much that I decided to collect chocolate things. Most of the things I have are Hershey' Chocolate. I have tins, candles, fondue chocolate pot, candy dishes, measuring spoons, lip gloss, chess and checker board, bears, rubber stamps etc. I got a few new things for my collection for Christmas and I thought I would show you this adorable mug. It made me laugh out loud and I smile every time I look at it. It made Lady Di laugh to when she saw it. It is a little hard to photo graph but it says on it..."When I count my blessings, I count Chocolate twice"! That fits me to a "T"! Thanks mom and thanks for the chili you brought over today! Yummy! KItty Towels
Here is another towel pattern that I have been working on this week. I have been stitching these kitties and have 3 completed and one more almost finished. I took a break from stitching today and worked on Christmas cards of all things....LOL I have a bunch left from the Christmas Stamp A Stack that I held in September. I will put some pictures of them on here later. Any hoo....Lady Di came over in the afternoon and she was working on her projects and I was working on finishing and assembling cards. I got 33 done. Not a bad days work! I made porkchops in the slow cooker with cream of mushroom soup and mushrooms and we had them over porkchops. Yummy....I read awhile in bed and fell asleep around 10pm and woke up at 11:30. Bummer.... I have been at the computer since reading blogs...one of my favorite things to do! But I am getting sleepy now so will head back to bed! Later alligator!

Hand and Heart Towel
I have been stitching up towels to sell this week and here is the first one that I did. I made 4 of these on Monday while chattering on the phone with different people. I sure make the most of my Vonage account and I absolutely love being able to talk with anyone I want to for as long as I want to! So if you want to chit chat....give me a call and I will buzz you back! I will put on my headset and work! I found a great headset through Radio Shack that works wonderfully. The cheaper ones do not last long! If you can get them to last a month you are doing good! I have been using my current one for about 8 months and it is still going strong!
Yesterday, I was out to Lady Di's house and I was working on more towels in between trying to keep her cat Charlie out of the dip and chip's we were eating. He sure has a thing for dip! Today we are going to work here in the afternoon. I plan on getting some more towels prepped for stitching before she gets here later. But first I need to go back to bed and try and get some more ZZZZZ's!
