Happy Birthday....spoil your self today...wish BIG!
Today was drag your wash around day. Lol I will be so happy when the transmission for my washing machine comes and I can do laundry at home again. This gets old fast, especially with the cold. Tuesday will be 4 weeks of dragging it around. :(
The bottom picture is of a notebook I decorated with this beautiful Parisian paper. I did another one differently but must have deleted the photo by accident earlier in the week, so I am not showing that one. You'll have to buzz on over and take a look. Lots of new things on the porch. :)
The Happy Birthday cards I made this evening. I am trying to get the Birthday bins restocked as they were getting low, especially the women's bin.
These are some great birthday cards to have handy in one's card stash as they could be used for any age, male or female. I don't think you can see it in the picture but the balloons are sparkly. A better word to use would be "glimmer".
In other fun news, I have introduced the kids to "The Munsters". The "old tv shows" are really more fun. They are so different that the gkids are mesmerized by them. They sit so still and don't move a muscle. :) We had planned on watching more of Mr. Ed but oddly enough, the few season two episodes we saw available last week have disappeared. So strange. The only episodes left were the ones we had already watched.

Shopping Trip
Yesterday I had a nice adventure with the Dominguez family. We did some shopping in Plover and Stevens Point and had supper at Asian Buffet. They do it differently now. You pick out items for "your buffet" and they cook it and bring plates to your table. Yummy. We got home pretty late last night so I am a little tired today, but it was fun. Jenna picked up a bunch of things for the new baby. Time is flying and it won't be that much longer and we will have our new little love in our arms.

January Mood Board
Good Morning! I belong to a stamping group that holds card challenges. This months card challenge was to make a card with the theme from a January mood board. It has pictures of chocolate's and conversation hearts, stuff like that so I came up with this card that could be used for Valentine's Day or other special occasions. It was a fun project.

Fun notepads
Good evening! I had Jenna and the grand kids over for supper tonight and they just left. I ended up making the same casserole twice as the first one I made, slid out of my hands and dumped upside down, and landed on the kitchen floor. Huge sad face! So I ended up making a second one. It turned out yummy. Big smile!
Today's pictures are of four large notepads. They were so fun to make in these fun kitchen themes. Cuteness over load!

Strawberries
Happy Sunday! It is good to see the sun shining. That always makes me smile.
One of my projects today was to work on these strawberry bag toppers for these healthy snacks. Wouldn't this make an adorable gift for that special someone. I have five available.

It is going to get better!
I enjoyed some stamping time in the stamp room today. These are some cards I finished this afternoon and I have a bunch more started. This is a great card to send out to anyone who needs some encouragement for whatever reason. Write your own personal message inside of the card.
The Porch will be open on Wednesday's from 10 am to 5:30 pm. Send me a message just to make sure I am here, as sometimes a last minute doctor appointment might come up for my parents or myself. I do my best to keep Wednesday's free.
I am watching a fun old program on Rediscover television, Mr. Ed, the sitcom about the talking horse. I love that I can start watching it from the beginning of the series and not miss an episode. I am excited to watch it again. A show that can actually make me belly laugh. We all need a good laugh at this moment as the world sure is crazy. Hold tight to your faith, never give up, and always have hope!

Butterfly Note Cards
When I started working on these, I did it with the intention that I was going to make these into women's birthday cards. But then I changed my mind. This card is really a versatile design and could be used as a sympathy, get well, birthday, thinking of you, thank you card etc that I decided that it would be best to leave these blank inside so you could use them for whatever you wish to. I made four of these, but I have supplies to make more of these if you would like to order some.
In other news....my washing machine broke last week and needs a new transmission. The part is ordered and probably will not be here for at least a month. :(
It is NOT fun having to drag laundry somewhere else to do it. Makes me feel like I am eighteen again!!! Eighteen going on Sixty!!!! Lol

It is Wednesday!
It is Wednesday... which means it is Porch day! Stop over and say hi!
I hope to post most every day. We will see how that goes. I have the best intentions but life sometimes gets in the way.
The littles were here yesterday so that kept me pretty busy. I let them play with playdo. I kind of have a love/hate relationship with playdo as it is super fun to play with, yet it makes such a mess. They drop it on the floor and then it can get dragged all over the house, on the carpet etc, so I had to watch carefully to make sure that wasn't happening. I think I will get a picnic table or patio table in the spring so they can play with it outside and I won't have the mess in the house. Plus we will then have a table to eat on . Our littlest who is three, woke me up one morning a few weeks ago..."Grammie, can we have a picnic outside this morning, like we did before!?!" I started laughing as it is definitely not picnic weather in Wisconsin. A blanket sitting on top of snow, in this cold weather wouldn't be much fun. So I had to explain that it is too cold to do that right now. But I think I will surprise them and have a picnic on the carpet one of these days.
I have been stamping up a storm, so I will be back soon to show you some cards.

Fill your mind with good things!
I was in my stamping room this afternoon and was thinking about listening to something while I worked. I was reminded of the bible passage Philippians 4:8. Finally, brothers, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things.
To me that sends a clear message that we are to be focusing on the good, and I feel that we need to do that now more than ever as the world feels so uncertain. Our hope is in the Lord. It reminded me to listen to The Next Right Thing with Emily P. Freeman on Google Podcasts. I have it downloaded on my phone. I thoroughly enjoy her soothing and calming voice as she tells examples and stories about making decisions and doing the "next right thing" in your life. I have had a peaceful four hours, stamping and listening to her Christian messages. She had a couple of other women as guest speakers in the podcasts I listened to today, they also do podcasts. I really enjoyed listening to them on her program, so I am going to check those gals out too!

I am back! Choose Love, choose kindness!
It has been quite awhile since I have used my blog, so bear with me as I figure out to use the functions on it as it has changed.
So very many reasons I am leaving the face book platform, that I won't share on here, but I will share one, and the quote above expresses it quite well. I hope no one will take this personally but I am so tired of the division in our Country and that we are not allowed to have opinion. We live in the greatest nation in the world, and have freedom of speech which is one of the things I love the most about it. Yet that freedom is being abused. If one has an opinion different than someone elses, you either need to stay silent or risk being slammed. Enough is enough....I am sharing this as I really want people to think about this, is your opinion so right, so important, that you are willing to destroy a friendship!?! An opinion worth more than a person? So many don't even realize what they are doing.
Choose kindness. Choose People. Choose LOVE! This is what will heal our land.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. This will be a safe place, and tomorrow, I will go back to my regular posting and show you some hats I have finished.
