Cards we made at Diane's Party
Here are pictures of the cards that we made at Diane Dilworth's stamping party last week. The gals got to play with the new sticky cut's (heart) and the new chunky glitter. We had a blast as usual and Diane had a fantastic meal for us.
All She'd want to do is dance...dance...
Sunday evening I had the pleasure of going to Isabelle Varga's dance recital in Wi Rapids at Lincoln High School performing arts center. Unfortunately they did not allow any photography during the performance so I do not have any pictures to show you. But if you get the chance to go to this next year...take it...as it is fantastic. The costumes were out of this world and the music was fantastic. It wasn't anything like I expected it to be. I especially enjoyed watching the little kids. They start them as young as 2 years old and they were absolutely adorable. Isabelle did a fantastic job dancing. She was in two numbers. One was tap and the other ballet. I was so proud of her and told her so. She is very good and this is her first year of lessons. Great job peanut!

Country Chicken
Yesterday Diane and I went to the Rapids for supper at Country Kitchen. Yesterday would have been Don's 65th birthday. Diane got all duded up and I was teasing her about it. She had on her beautiful Black Hills Gold Hummingbird Earrings and Necklace that Don had given her. She would like to work at Light House Books (because of the stamp department) and I was teasing her that she got all dressed up because she was going to ask for an application. I asked her if I could take a picture of her and got an immediate "NO !" "If you take my picture....I am NOT taking you to Goodwill! So as you can see.....going to Goodwill won out over taking the picture. Does that surprise anyone !?!?!?!? Anyways we got a good laugh out of it too as she was scolding me like a child and she thought what she said sounded pretty funny herself! Man....the things I have to put up with! We also stopped at Light House Books and then stopped at Melissa's as Diane had never been out there before. I was teasing Isabelle that we were going to stay over night and that I was going to sleep in her bed because she never does. She couldn't figure out if I was teasing her or not and I really had her going. Today I mailed a package for Melissa, went to Practical Cents and a few garage sales but didn't find anything. I spent the whole afternoon making tags to sell, and was chattering with Mike on the phone. I got a lot done. Now I just made some Macaroni & Cheese and I think I will go read the new Wedding Creations magazine that I got in the mail today! Have a good one! Boo

The Engagement Ring!
Ah......one of those days a mother waits a lifetime for. The day when one of her babies plans to get married. Sarah and Zach got engaged last Friday and Sarah came over to tell me on Sunday. They are both so happy and excited and so am I! We are busy making plans. Right now they are looking at August or September of 2009. She has asked me to make the invitations, goody bags etc so my little brain is going like crazy! Here are a couple of pictures of her engagement ring. It is white gold and has 35 little diamonds on it. Very beautiful and suits her so well! Congratulations Sarah and Zach! Love, Mom
Madtown
Carol and I went to Madison on Thursday. She had a doctor's appointment. We had a fun day with lots of shopping. I took Carol's picture at the Chinese Restaurant reading her fortune. One of our traditions is to read our fortunes and add the words "in bed" to the end of the saying. This of course brings lots of laughter as some of them are pretty bad! Can't wait for the next road trip buddy! But at the price of gas......we may have to ride camels!!!! Love ya! Boo
