A good find!

Another busy day.  I cleaned out all my summer clothes and other stuff that doesn't fit and put it on the couch today.  I had Jessie come for about a half hour after school today to haul it all upstairs and we got it put away in the upstairs closet.  Then she packed up my Tastefully Simple and took it all downstairs.  I will have it set up at Curves next week if you wish to buy something.  Before I picked her up, I did some errands, and after I dropped her off I stopped at Practical Cents.  I was very fortunate to find what I went there for.  Can't tell you....it is a surprise!  :-D  But I can tell you something that I did find and was absolutely thrilled about!!!  I have wanted for a couple of years one of those old hard case makeup cases that used to go with luggage sets.  You know...the one your mom had when you where a kid.  My mom had a blue one. Probably still does.  LOL  When you flip the top open there is a mirror inside of it and they usually have pockets with elastic at the top of them.  I have been searching for a nice one for sometime.  Usually they are all stained up bad or smell musty inside.  Well this one is really nice inside, and looks like brand new.  It is red and is pretty cool and the best part is that it only cost $3.00!  It is absolutely perfect.  I will be able to put my hot airbrush, hairspray, gel, makeup, meds, etc. all in one case.  Yippee skip!  Ah, the little things that make me happy!  I am now ready for a road trip but there will be no road trips for me till after the wedding.  Speaking of which, it is only 3 weeks away now!  Jenna Lee called when we were working upstairs this afternoon and they got every thing done for their marriage license and will be able to pick it up next week!  So we are very happy about that, and I called Sarah to share the good news!  She is still not feeling well and they decided that they won't be able to go to Iowa to Zach's nephew Henry's baptism tomorrow.  They don't want to take a chance on getting everyone sick.  I hope she is feeling better by Sunday as they are going to be God Parent's for Memphis on Sunday and Sarah is so excited about that.  She just loves little Memphie (as she calls her) to pieces!  As soon as she feels better, she is coming here to learn how to sew and make her a baby quilt.  Well...I'd better hip hop off to bed!  Have a great weekend!  Elaine

Here Kitty, Kitty......

Here is the Queen of Mayberry....Miss Molly Wilson on her top of her new "Throne"!  This morning when I walked into the bathroom to take a shower, she was laying on the blue jeans that I had left folded on the vanity to wear today.  I decide to start pulling out some of the summer clothes to take upstairs to my upstairs closet.  I put them on top of the box of wedding decorations that also need to go up.  When I came out of the bathroom from taking my shower, this is what I saw and I started laughing.  Those cats of mine absolutely adore any kind of fabric and they think it was put there especially there for them.  I thought you would enjoy seeing a picture of this, and that maybe it would make you chuckle too.  Molly has been up there on and off all day, and is currently up there again.  You can see the bell on her new collar in this picture too.  They have finally gotten used to them!  Sarah isn't feeling good so she didn't come to sew today and won't be coming tomorrow either.  She has a sore throat and is very tired.  She had mono about 3 years ago and I sure hope she doesn't have it again.  She was sure one sick kid.  Please keep her in your prayers!  I am doing well on the "list".  I was able to cross off a couple of more things on it today and am happy about that!  Things are starting to feel manageable now.  I don't like to feel overwhelmed with too much to do and not enough time to do it in.  I am starting to feel on top of things again and that is a good feeling!

Make Merry

Yes....believe it or not....I am still alive!!!  It has been a wild and crazy week, but lots of fun!  We had our family's Thanksgiving on Saturday at Sarah and Zach's house.  Can you believe that I forgot to take pictures!?!?!  And neither did anyone else!  I was so busy handing out birthday gifts, Sarah and Zach's anniversary gift, books, magazines, clothes, candy, food, etc that I had brought along that I forgot all about it.  By the way...everyone LOVED the leaf envelopes.  They were a big hit. Even the guys were wow'd!  I brought Dianna back with me on Saturday night and she spent the night here while Jenna was at her baccalaureate party down in Highland, WI.  Dianna and I goofed around watching TV, playing Yahtzee, and we had one of her famous tuna fish sandwiches that she likes to make for us when she is here.  It is a secret recipe she says and she won't tell me it.  Not that I try that hard to get her to tell....as long as she likes to cook....I like to eat!  Hee Hee!  Works for me!  Sunday, we met Sarah at Kohl's in the Dells and rode with her to Madison.  We had the dress fitting for the wedding dress and bride's maid dresses.  They all look so beautiful, it is truly going to be a beautiful wedding.  Jenna told me that she absolutely loves her dress, even more that when she had it on the first time.  And we found out that there are some sort of real crystal's on the veil (can't remember what they called them).  Any whoo...they said we should cut them off the veil after the wedding that they are worth money and that she should make them into some jewelry or an ornament.  How cool is that!?!?  We had lunch at Panera Bread.  I had never eaten there before, nor Sarah or Dianna, and we absolutely loved it!  Fantastic food.  After a long visit, we were off to Walmart to pick out some decorations for the tables and we got most of that done.  The table clothes will be white, candy apple red satin will be puddled under clear hurricane type candle vases with a large floating candle in them (Jen needs to decide on those yet) and we chose a gold sheer ribbon with gold snowflakes on it that I will tie around them with a big bow on it.  It should be very pretty with the candle light hitting those colors.  Then we will have gold berries laying on the red satin fabric.  I need to finish the treat boxes yet, plus cut snowflakes out to hang from the ceiling with Angela's Cricut.  She was so kind to let me bring it home with me on Thanksgiving Day.  And...you don't want to hear the rest of my "to do" list for the next 3 weeks!

Monday night and Tuesday afternoon were stamp camp's and other things thrown in the mix, play catch up, and some rest time.  By the time I got home Monday night I had a splitting headache, and I took migraine medicine late in the morning as it was on the verge of starting again but that nipped it in the bud and I felt good by the time the afternoon camp started.

Hello!  Today Paul and I went to Tomah to the VA for his eye appointment.  I stitched while I was waiting and almost finished the project I was working on.  Just a little more left to do on it.  Then we went out for breakfast and had Ham and Cheese Omelets.  We both like those a lot.  I talked him into taking me to Good Will and he went to the Tractor Supply store.  I was very happy to find a pair of jeans.  I really need jeans badly right now.  Mine are all shot.  I also found 3 heavy duty metal pants hanger's which I love and they will be so great when I get in there to organize my clothes!  And the deal of the day was a whole bunch of homespun fabric for a $1.00 per yard!!!  And I found a couple other nice chunks of fabric that were pretty cheap too.  I ended up being done before Paul was.  He was having too much fun at the Tractor Supply store buying bird feeders and food for his yard, and picking out things to spoil my cats.  He got Taffy and Molly each a cat collar and picked out color's that he thought would best match there fur.  They have a little bell on them and he got them a bag of mice.  We ended the day with a trip to the grocery store so I could get food to make my dishes for tomorrow's Thanksgiving with my family.  When we got back, I put the cat collar's on the cat and they did not know what to think of that.  They were trying to figure out where the bell sound was coming from and why every time they moved it was ringing.  Taffy has adjusted to it fairly well, but Molly is really mad about it.  She is finally taking a nap right now.  Probably wore herself out....hee hee.  They look really cute in them and I will try and get a nice picture to show you.  They love the new mice as they have some sort of beans that rattle in them and they have never had that kind before.  Taffy was hopping around with a white one in her mouth like she had caught the prize trophy!  I hope that Molly gets use to her collar.  When I was resting she jumped up on the bed and was under the cover growling she was so mad.  She is making it perfectly clear to me that she is really miffed about it all.  If she really hates it, I will take it off, but first want to give it a try for awhile and see if she will adjust to it.  Well, I need to get out to the kitchen and do some cooking.  Have a great night!  Me
