Hello!  Today Paul and I went to Tomah to the VA for his eye appointment.  I stitched while I was waiting and almost finished the project I was working on.  Just a little more left to do on it.  Then we went out for breakfast and had Ham and Cheese Omelets.  We both like those a lot.  I talked him into taking me to Good Will and he went to the Tractor Supply store.  I was very happy to find a pair of jeans.  I really need jeans badly right now.  Mine are all shot.  I also found 3 heavy duty metal pants hanger's which I love and they will be so great when I get in there to organize my clothes!  And the deal of the day was a whole bunch of homespun fabric for a $1.00 per yard!!!  And I found a couple other nice chunks of fabric that were pretty cheap too.  I ended up being done before Paul was.  He was having too much fun at the Tractor Supply store buying bird feeders and food for his yard, and picking out things to spoil my cats.  He got Taffy and Molly each a cat collar and picked out color's that he thought would best match there fur.  They have a little bell on them and he got them a bag of mice.  We ended the day with a trip to the grocery store so I could get food to make my dishes for tomorrow's Thanksgiving with my family.  When we got back, I put the cat collar's on the cat and they did not know what to think of that.  They were trying to figure out where the bell sound was coming from and why every time they moved it was ringing.  Taffy has adjusted to it fairly well, but Molly is really mad about it.  She is finally taking a nap right now.  Probably wore herself out....hee hee.  They look really cute in them and I will try and get a nice picture to show you.  They love the new mice as they have some sort of beans that rattle in them and they have never had that kind before.  Taffy was hopping around with a white one in her mouth like she had caught the prize trophy!  I hope that Molly gets use to her collar.  When I was resting she jumped up on the bed and was under the cover growling she was so mad.  She is making it perfectly clear to me that she is really miffed about it all.  If she really hates it, I will take it off, but first want to give it a try for awhile and see if she will adjust to it.  Well, I need to get out to the kitchen and do some cooking.  Have a great night!  Me

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day today!  I had a wonderful time at the July's today.  Ton's of wonderful food and lot's of laughter.  We played Apples to Apples and that was a lot of fun.  There children are Alex 17, Steven 6, and Sophie who is 5.  I fell in love with the kids and them with me.  When we were playing the game, I touched Sophie's hair and she turned to me and looked at me with those big brown eye's and said to me "I wish I had hair like you.  I would like my hair to be just like yours.  I want to be your twin!"  I thought that was just the sweetest thing.  I took my Magic Story Tree Book with me that I received when I was 5 from my Aunt and Uncle and read them 3 stories out of it and they just loved it.  Steven is just a little riot.  He is giggling all the time.  He thinks every thing is just a stitch.  And Alex is so nice and polite, not your typical teenager at all.  Any who, it was a very fun day...but I need to scoot to bed right now as Paul and I are headed to Tomah tomorrow.  I am very blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life and I thank you for spending time with me here each day reading my blog!  Thank you for blessing my life!  Hugs!  Elaine

Gift Envelopes

Hello!  I just finished making these envelopes with an envelope template.  I just tucked the flap in the end of them so that the receiver's can reuse them if they would like too.  I made a belly band around the envelope that slides off and cut out the leaves and tags with the die cut machine.  I hope that the receiver's like them.

I made a Pumpkin Cheese Cake and a Pistachio dessert for tomorrow's Thanksgiving at Angela's.  Paul and I will be going there and then we will go to my families celebration at Sarah's on Saturday.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving....enjoy this special time with your families!  Hugs!  Elaine

A Request!

I have a special request.  If anyone get's the WI State Journal or other Sunday paper with coupon's and doesn't use them....would you please save the coupon inserts for me?  I also read that the magazine "All You" has a lot of coupon's in it too.  So if anyone has any issue's of that they are done reading, I would appreciate it if you would save them for me.  Thanks!  Elaine

What a pleasant surprise!

Doris Kolberg dropped in this evening and surprised me with a couple of gifts!  She said they were for my sewing room.  She knows how I love colbalt blue and she has rak'd me with some pieces before.  I have seen chickens like this but never a bird.  It is pretty cool and I love it.  She also had some cool quilting pins tucked in side of it.  Pretty soon I will have the whole house over taken with blue glass....lol  But that is a GOOD THING...as Martha would say!  And fortunately, there is no one else here to complain about it!  It is hard to see because of the way I took the picture but the bottom is a nest!

I haven't been outside today but I have been just freezing inside of the house today.  I don't know if it is just me or if the temperature outside really took a nose dive!

Thoughts and Prayers

Hello!  This card was made with the stamp set "Thoughts and Prayers".  I used Dusty Durango and Soft Suede markers to ink up the tree before I stamped it and stamped the greeting with Soft Suede ink.  The flower is a scrap I punched with the Trio Punch.  It is my most used punch as I can punch out the tiniest of scraps with it.  You should see the drawer full that I have of them!  I used a silver brad as a center for the flower and popped it up with a dimensional.  A small strip of  Dusty Durango is under the tree and a portion of a piece that I cut out with the Top note die is attached under that.  A very nice card for this time of year!

Fun day with Sarah

Hello!  Today I met Sarah at Kohl's in the Dells and left my van there.  We went to Madison to Joanne's to get greenery, berry's and ribbon so that Sarah can make arrangements to put on the pews for Jen's wedding.  We had fun picking out that stuff but not so much fun trying to checkout as we were at the checkout for an hour.  Our clerk was very rude, slamming things around, and we had our purchase rang up three different times, the last time by a different clerk by the time we left the store.  We were not happy camper's and Sarah said if we hadn't spent so much time picking it out and that it was for her sister's wedding......anything else and she would have just left it there and walked out.  We are both pretty easy going but this tested our patience to the max!  But the main thing is that we got it done and we are going to have beautiful arrangements on the pews!  Maybe I will have a picture to share with you of them at Thanksgiving.  Sarah plans on making one up right away so that she will be able to show Jenna it at Thanksgiving.

This card was made with Stampin' UP! window sheets.  It was a fun, fast card to make and they are inexpensive to boot!

A Hunting We Will Go....

Hello!  I had to get up early today to pick up my Share box at the Community Center.  They set a record this month with over $3000.00 worth of food order's.  This is about double of what they normally do in a month.  I am guessing that people are sharing how they save money in these hard economic times.  Google  WI Share for more information about this program.  When I got back from picking that up, I had an email from Sarah titled "Good News".  Zach got an 8 point buck first thing this morning, so they are happy camper's and she said everyone would have beef jerky!  I finished getting things ready for today's stationary class, laid down for a bit and fell asleep which I had not intended on doing.  Fortunately the noon whistle woke me up otherwise I probably would have been asleep still when my class started at one!  The gals loved making the stationary box and most of them were heading home to make more of them right away while it was still fresh in there minds.  I got home around 3:30 and then put in my stamping order, did a few things and then decided that I would watch a little TV.  Well, I finished one movie and then fell asleep shortly after starting to watch the second one.  Guess it was a napper day...and doing classes really wears me out.  Tonight I finished the last project for December stamp camp and then made up a couple of sample cards.  I am getting sleepy so will be heading to bed.  I hope all your hunter's are catching the "big one", and that the stamper's are stamping away while they are gone!  Bring your stuff to camp for "show and tell".  We all love seeing what you are making!

Simple Flower Embosslit

Hello.  Just a quick note before I head off to La La Land.  I had stamp camp this morning, delivered some Tastefully Simple after that and then headed home.  Lady Di had called while I was gone and we decided that she would come over later to stamp.  I got my stuff from the morning camp put away, and got some of the stuff ready for tomorrow.  Then I started doing the stamping and cutting for the favor boxes for Jenna's wedding.  I still have a lot more to do but got a nice start on it today.  Di and I went to Family Affair tonight and we both had the Philly Chicken which was excellent as usual.  Di hadn't had it before and she really liked it too.  It is the first we have been together for awhile.  Her sister and nephew were here the past week and a half, and her kids were here the weekend before that, so she has had a lot of company.  It sure was busy in there.  They had people standing, waiting for tables.  We are lucky we got there when we did.  Thanks Di for the nice treat!  It was yummy!

Stitchin' and a Sewin'

Hello!  I had a "play" day today and I really enjoyed it.  I was up in my sewing room this afternoon and pieced together a table runner with applique on top.  That is all I can tell you about it as I think I may be using this for a Christmas gift, unless I decide to keep it...it is turning out so darn cute!  The cat's were thrilled to be up there with me and to have new entertainment.  I was not so thrilled.....:-(  Molly was up on the sewing table with me and her tail was hanging over the table.  Taffy started going after Molly's tail, and Molly would get mad about it.  She would just get laid back down and Taffy would do it again.  That part was pretty funny.  Then Taffy jumped up a couple of times trying to grab my applique pieces that I was cutting out.  She was just being a little dickens.  I had iron a bunch of fabric and had laid it over the top of a chair so that they wouldn't lay on it.  The minute I turned my back....it was all laying on the floor!  I may have to start shutting the door when I am up there, but maybe the novelty will wear off.  Usually they cat nap in the afternoon but not today.  They didn't go back down stairs until I had been up there for several hours.  They think the sewing room is great fun!

Just Buzzin By

Here is another card I made with the stamp set Just Buzzin By.  The card stock and designer paper are Rose Red.  The tabs with the black brads attached to them were made with the word window punch and are folded around to the back.  I used the scalloped edge punch to make the scallops at the bottom of the white panel.  It is a little hard to see in the photo unless you are looking for it, but the wings of the bee have Dazzling Diamond's glitter on them.  Basic Black Grosgrain ribbon finishes things off.

Christmas Card

Hello!  Well...I escaped Dodge today and it sure felt good!  Susie invited me to come along with her to the Rapids today.  I got my outfit for the wedding and it is very nice.  I like it a lot.  They were running some very good sales at Younkers.  The jacket and shell were 50% off, the pants $10.00 off plus Susie gave me a $50.00 coupon so I got a good deal on a Laura Ashley outfit!  It is very dressy but yet I will be able to wear it again.  So I am very happy to have that done.  While Susie was picking out clothing for her Grandkids for Christmas, I checked Penney's out and then the thrift shop.  I found my Christmas sweater for Angela's Ugliest Christmas Sweater contest that we are having at our annual cookie bake next month.  It's a doozy!  LOL  When we were trying to leave Younker's we kept setting off the alarms.  The gal that had checked us out got all the ink tags off but they now have alarms hidden in some of the clothing too.  So we had to fiddle around checking bags through the door before we could finally get out of the store.  Susie had told our clerk that she was the "VP's" mother while we were checking out, which the clerk thought was pretty funny after she figured out it wasn't true.  So we had fun running with that one for awhile.  Then we had lunch at Hong Kong Buffet, made a stop at the Light House, and you would be very proud of me....I did not buy one thing there, but Susie made up for it.....lol.  Then we were off to Walmart and I bought 4 Christmas gifts, the ingredients for the desserts I am making for when we go to Paul's Thanksgiving, the ingredients for the cookie bake, plus some other groceries so felt that I got a lot accomplished today.  Of course when I got home, I had phone calls to return, dishes to do, cat box to clean, laundry to fold, and traced out some towels to stitch.  I am wiped now and am headed to bed!   Have a good one.  Me

Trendy Tree's

Hello!  It was another beautiful day in Mayberry again today!  I got project #3 designed and cut out for the Dec. stamp camp's and I know you gals are going to love it!  Actually all 3 of the projects are very nice...but do I ever show you bad stuff!?!?!?  LOL  I don't think so.  I hope that I keep coming up with better and better projects for you to do.  Susie stopped in for a few minutes late this afternoon before I headed over to my mom and dad's house for supper.  Jenna and Antonio were in town to talk to Pastor this afternoon.  They got the results from there compatibility test and they said that turned out very good, and that there communication was pretty good.  They got a lot of the last minute details figured out and Jenna is very happy about that.  She is tired of making decision's about the wedding....just wants to get married now!  LOL  She went shopping with Edith and Dianna this weekend and they got Saul a little tux, and Jen says he looks adorable.   They got Dianna's dress, and Jenna got her shoe's for her wedding dress.  They are all beaded and look like Cinderella shoes.  Quite beautiful.  It was great to see the kids and we had a really nice visit and great meal at mom's.  Well, I am off to the stamping room!  Me

Just Buzzin' By

I think some of most striking cards have black on them some where.  I like the contrast a lot on this card of Crushed Curry and Basic Black.  It makes a sharp card and Just Buzzin By is a fun set to work with.  Every time I show a card with it at stamp camp, someone says I just love those little bee's!

I have been buzzin' around here just like that little bee.  I mixed up a pot of chili last night and started it this morning.  I have raisin bread in the bread machine and I plan on making banana nut muffin's later.  And I have been cleaning.  Wouldn't you know the sun would shine bright today and I can see all the dust in here!  Actually I am glad we had sunshine and that it is so nice and warm out.  All the gloomy days can get a person down.   Paul will be here soon and I have the Packer Gamer taping for him.  He is doing some work on the big animal abuse case that happened this week before he arrives.  I need to run to the store so am going to head out!  Have a great day!  Elaine

On Your Birthday

Not too much new here.  I had people in  and out picking up orders and Melissa came to visit for a few hours this afternoon.  She dropped me off to pick up the van before she went home.  I parked it over in the parking lot just in case they do decide to pave the road.  They never tell you when you are going to be blocked in so it is best to be prepared!

I made the flower on this card with the Bloom's and Blossom's Die that came in my Big Shot starter kit.  It is sitting on a Top Note Die that was also cut out with the Big Shot.  A quick stamping with a stamp out of the Stampin' UP! Set "On Your Birthday", a quick addition of a few brads and pattern paper, and you have a quick and easy card!  The colors are Rose Red, Barely Banana, and Certainly Celery.

Manhatten Embossing Folder

The house just shook most of the day as they had a machine rolling over the road.  One of my colbalt blue candlesticks fell but fortunately did not break, and I rescued a few other pieces from falling off of the glass shelves.  Rumor has it that they are paving on Friday.  I sure hope so.

I had planned on going to Milwaukee tomorrow and staying till Monday with Jenna but will not be able to go now.  :-(
I had my oil changed, and blinker socket fixed.  The radio has been out for 4 months and they checked that and that is shot so I need a new one.  That will have to wait awhile.  The bad news is that the rear right bearing is bad and needs to be fixed immediately so I am having that done tomorrow (hopefully).  The other bad news is that the front bearings on both tires are loose too.  He thinks I can hold off a little while on them.  So I will be stuck in town until I save up to have that repaired.  Fun Fun.

The good news is that Doug Renner put styrofoam in where the chimney was and caulked that up real good.  He is going to put siding over it too.  I am so thankful that I was able to get him to do the job as I was having problems getting a contractor to do it because it was such a small job.  Thanks again Doug!!

I have been crafting away and got 3 Christmas gifts made today so I am happy about that.  Only a zillion more to go!!!

Trendy Tree's

Hello!  I am making a few changes on my blog that I think you will really enjoy.  First of all I updated to the new posting options, which should make it faster, and easier to do my posting.  The other thing I am now doing is adding tags to each post.  You will see this in the lower right hand side of the blog.  If you wish to look at a certain stamp set.  You can just click on that name and you will be able to see all the cards that I have made with this set.  I will do this from now on with all of my post and as I have time, I will add tags to all the back posts.  This is going to be quite the job to do this so please be patient with me!  In the mean time...you can send me lot's of blogging love and encouragement by leaving me a comment!  Thanks!  Elaine

Christmas Card Swap

I had stamp camp tonight and these are the cards that gals that participated in the card swap made. All I can say is WOW! The only requirements of the swap were that they do there best work, and use good quality materials. And they sure did that. The pictures don't do them justice. I quick snapped them before stamp camp started and the lightening wasn't the greatest but I hope that you enjoy them!

True Friends Digi Image

Hello! I have been working on cards to show my stamp camp groups. I have some really neat ones. I am featuring the stamp set Berry Christmas from the mini catalog. It is such a versatile stamp set. Lots you can do with it.

I just put the ingredients in my kitchen aid mixer to make an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie for tomorrow's stamp camp. The recipe is from the new Horse and Buggy cookbook that Paul bought for me. I forgot to lock down the mixer and it went flying all over the place! All over the counter and kitchen floor. Taffy of course had to come check it out right away and ate a little bit of the dry mixture off of the floor! It was such a mess and all over the rug that I decided the best way to clean it up was with the vaccum. Part of the reason it flew so much is that the butter was still frozen. I decided to throw it all in the mixer and stir it up later when the butter had on thawed. Well.....I was pushing the mixer further back on the counter and I hit the on control button unintentionally. That's about as much excitement that has happened around here today! The phone has been quiet except for one short call this morning. Sunday's are usually a good day for me to get some stamping done as it is the quietest day of the week around here. Oooops.....I did forget that Jen called while I was stamping . I always enjoy our visits. We are going to try and finish up some of the wedding preparations this week. It is creeping up too fast. Only a month and a half away now!

It's All in the Details

My neighbor Sue was over this morning and wanted to know if I had good water pressure. She lives directly across the street from me. I told her mine was fine. I guess there water pressure is terrible since the hookup and so is the neighbor's on the corner. I asked her if she knew when they were going to black top the road and she said it is scheduled for next Friday. But they are going to the Village Hall to complain about the water pressure on Monday, so I suppose the black topping will get delayed. :-(

Do you remember this summer when I was telling you how I was spending time coloring digital images? Well this is one of them. I think this girl is so cute. I took a picture of the embellishments for you to see closer, as all the little details really make a great card!

My nephew/Godson Bobby took his SAT's today. I can hardly believe he is that old. I still have trouble wrapping my head around the idea that he is driving.

Have a great weekend! Me

Petal Pizzaz and Teeny Tiny Wishes

Hello! They had my road all tore up again today so I had to stay home all day. I think they are getting it ready to black top now. They worked on removing sand, measuring the distance down, and it looks like they built in back up some again. Perhaps they were leveling it and packing it down, I don't know. Hopefully this will all be over soon! I was pooped out today and really did not get anything accomplished during the day. Lady Di stopped over for a bit to visit and then Jessie came at 4 to work for me and she just left around 9 o'clock. The fabric room is done, at least for the moment. All the boxes have been unpacked and the current shelving is full. I plan on having Breezy put up shelves on the last section of open wall in there. Then we will move the fabric that is stored on shelves in the bathroom upstairs and then it will be completely finished. But it is so nice to see the wide open floor in there now. Jessie vacuumed it and there is a large open space in the center of the room that the kids can set up the queen size air mattress on, plus the other one could be set up on the floor in my sewing room. So that is great! We still have some boxes to sort in the little bedroom yet, but the end is getting near!!! That Jessie is such a hard worker and it has been wonderful to have her doing all this bending and lifting for me. This project would have NEVER gotten done with out her help! I made us a new recipe that I tried tonight with the elk/hamburger. We both thought it turned out really good. First you brown a pound of burger and drain it. Then you put it back in the pan and add a 1/2 of cup of BBQ Sauce. I used Tastefully Simple's Smokey Bacon Grilling Sauce. Next you add 4 T. Brown Sugar, and a T. of Dried Onion. Stir this mixture up. Take a can of refrigerator biscuits, flatten each into a 5" circle, then place it in a muffin pan so it comes up the side. Add 2 T. of the burger mixture to each biscuit, top with shredded cheese and bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Yummy!

Delightful Decorations & Christmas Punch (Level 2 Hostess)

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. There has just been too much going on! I was getting ready for Women's Night Out which was tonight and was a lot of fun. It was fun to see old friends and make new ones! They always do such nice programs. The doctor's talked a lot about getting good sleep and how to do that and the Woman that did the motivational speaking was hilarious and had the audience roaring!

Yesterday I went to Tomah with Paul to his appointment at the VA. We went out for Chinese first, then the appointment and then I took him over to the Burnstad's mall. He wanted to go for pie and coffee and they absolutely have the best over there. I had Peanut Butter Pie and he had French Silk and they were fabulous!! I just love peanut butter pie! YUM!!! I showed him the Amish store in there and we both enjoyed looking at things in there. He bought me the cookbook called Cooking with the Horse & Buggy People and I'll tell ya....the recipes in there just make you want to drool. Lots of fabulous dessert recipes. I was reading them to Di on the phone and she was ewing and ahhhing too! They will be fun to try out.

I have 2 stamp camps next week, the first one is Monday night starting at 6:00 pm and the second one is Tuesday at 1:00 pm. We would love to have you join us. Just give me a call and let me know you are coming so that I have enough supplies prepared.
Have a good night! Elaine

38 Ways to use ribbon

38 ways to use ribbon in your scrapbooking
I love the versatility of ribbon when scrap booking. Ribbon can be used to draw focus or just add some embellishment and bling. Many of you may be looking for ways to use up all those ribbons you have stashed and I am hoping this article will give you an idea or two, to use ribbon in your scrap booking.

1. Tie a knot in a piece of ribbon, then trim the tails at an angle (to prevent them from fraying) and use a Mini Glue Dot™ to secure the knot at the corner of a photo.

2. Use the same method next to your journaling.

3. You can also wrap ribbon around a photo or around your page as a border, securing the ends of the ribbon to the backside of the photo or paper with tape, this will add an interesting corner to your photo or page.

4. You can also attach ribbon with brads (make a tiny hole through the ribbon before securing it) or even staples or clips for an artsy look.

5. Tie onto a tag, photo mat, border, or photo as an accent.

6. Use with a hole punch to make a booklet.

7. Use to secure a fold open photo frame.

8. Tie it to paper clips or other fancy clips to add interest to your design.

9. Staple on the edge of your photo, journal block or title.

10. Places strips of ribbon behind your photo to use as a mat.

11. Attach a ribbon charm and use as a long border.

12. Thread through eyelets and tie as an accent.

13. Tie onto a slide holder for a small picture frame.

14. Tie onto each end of a metal label holder.

15. Tie small bits of ribbon onto a larger piece for a unique border design.

16. Stamp words and sayings or even images onto your larger ribbons and use as a title.

17. Weave ribbons together like a basket to create interest and texture in your layout, use this a as a mat, a background, a border.

18. Tie many ribbons around a plain spiral notebook to create an interesting journal or scrapbook.

19. Use ribbon to secure several paper bags, envelopes or any other paper scraps together to create a small scrapbook.

20. Tie around jump rings of small, shaped scrapbooks to spice them up a little.

21. Fold and secure your ribbon with snail adhesive to make your ribbon form the letters of your scrapbook title.

22. Use ribbon and your paper scraps to create an interesting journaling tag for your layout.

23. Tie it to the bottom of your photo mat, to add interest and texture.

24. Make small bows for your girly scrapbook pages.

25. Fold thick ribbon diagonally to make your own photo corners.

26. Use ribbon to create stems and leaves for your stamped flowers on your layouts.

27. Place a decorative brad in the center of small ribbon strips to make a faux flower embellishment.

28. Use as a simple page border.

29. Use as color blocking borders.

30. Use small strips of ribbon to jazz up and add color to your chipboard shapes and letters.

31. Tie a small piece to a chipboard letter to add some bling.

32. Use ribbon scraps and rhinestones to create candles on birthday layout.

33. Use your re-inkers or chalks to add color to your plain white ribbon, you have virtually any color at your hands.

34. Stamp a decorative border onto the ribbon and use on your layout.

35. Use small letter stamps to add bits of journaling to your ribbon strips, such as dates, lists or just random words pertaining to your layout like (soccer - goalie - sports - determination, etc.).

36. Set eyelets or brads through the length of the ribbon to create a funky trim for your layout.

37. Use the eyelet punch to add an interesting border to your layout, mat or journal box and thread your ribbon through it to add a trim.

38. Tie ribbons through buttonholes and attach with glue dots.

Flight of the Butterfly

Hello! Well, I am officially all packed up at the flea market and ready to go for Women's Night Out. Susie and Wayne Smith were so kind to come down and help me get all loaded. They loaded everything so neatly in the van. I am sure after Women's Night Out and we reload it....it will look like a tornado hit in there! LOL Hopefully a lot of it will be gone and we won't have as much to reload!

I came home and did some computer work, then made up a huge pot of hamburger/elk soup. It turned out yummy and I froze 9 large bowls of it, ate one for supper and kept one out in the frig for Lady Di who is coming to pick it up tomorrow after she gets done with quilting.

Before I started making the soup, I wiped out on the kitchen floor. Scraped up my arm. My back and leg were sore but seem to be okay now. I took some Excedrin back and body ache and went down for a nap after I got the soup done. I have been up since 3 and have been trying to work up some ambition to get something else done but so far it ain't happening....lol Jessie was suppose to come after school today to help me again but she has 2 exams, and a big packet of homework to do so I said we can do it another night. Right now we are thinking about Friday night. It will keep up there...out of sight...out of mind!

Webkinz Outfit

Good Evening! I have been a busy girl since I wrote to you last night! I ended up staying up till 1 am working on stamp camp projects. I was on a roll so just kept working. One of the projects I had already designed and I did all the cutting and packaging of that. The other project, I designed and cut...and boy you are going to love both of them. One of them is an adorable Christmas card and the other one you will want to whip up tons of for gifts! It will make a great gift for all those people you want to remember but don't want to spend a lot of money on.

This morning after I got up, I designed and cut project #3. It is all still laying there though, waiting to be packaged up and I need to make a few changes on my sample. Jessie, my teenage friend that helps me, came over at 1 and we worked upstairs till 4:30. We got soo....much done! The shelves that Breezy put up for me are almost full. You would not believe how much fabric I have. Seeing it all on the shelves even amazes me. I had it in so many different rooms of the house that it didn't seem like that much. Well...that is not entirely truthful...I knew I had a lot, but having it all in one room really makes it look like a lot. I still have fabric in one other spot of the house that needs to be moved in there too. We have a few boxes left to do in there and then I think we will pretty much have all the current shelving filled up. I have one more partial wall left with out shelving on it and I think I will have Breezy do that wall too. Then it will be floor to ceiling on all four walls. When we get this room done. I will shoot you a picture. There was no way I was going to shoot a "before picture" or you all would be turning me into Clean House and they would be trying to get me to get rid of it!!!! LOL I said to Jessie today, "Have you ever seen this much fabric?". She said "Just in a store. When we get this done, you could sell out of here and have your own store! LOL She is definitely right about that but that is not the plan. I will be able to sew from my own store! And speaking of sewing, my niece Brooke asked me to make her clothes for her Webkinz for Christmas. Mom and I talked about it and she decided that she would buy one off of Brooke's wish list for Christmas. I ordered it on line from Jenna's website and had it shipped here so that I have one to try the clothes on and make sure they fit. I have not been able to find a pattern for this size doll or stuffed animal. I did order a new small dog pattern off Ebay but it has not arrived yet. This is the out fit I made tonight for her new plush kitty that she will be getting from Grandma. I am pretty proud of myself as I didn't have a pattern, didn't take any measurements, and it fits! I just cut it out free hand with the scissors and laid the cat down by it after wards to make sure I had the length of it about right. After I sewed it up, I took one look at it and thought this is never going to fit, how am I going to get this over the cat's head!?!?! But I didn't have any trouble getting it on it. Then I decided to sew button's down it's tummy to spruce it up a bit. Brooke had asked me also if I knit (NO) as she wanted a sweater. This fabric is kind of a nubby velour like sweat shirts and jacket's are made of so it is sort of sweaterish. I hope she likes it. When she asked me if I would make her some clothes for Christmas, she said you know Aunt Elaine, they cost like $30.00 an outfit. I don't even have 50 cents in this outfit. What a racket! Any whoo....I also wanted to mention that if you would like to go to Jenna's website this is the address for it: www.marketamerica.com/dominguez
It is pretty cool. They have over 3000 partner store's on it. If you want you can search for a product and it will tell you which store's have it and what the price is. I put in the Webkinz and it came up with 2 places that had it. Both were the same price in this case and I ordered it from ToysRus. Starting in November, if you sign up as a preferred customer on Jenna's website you can get 2% cash back on all your purchases. I also ordered ink cartridges from Inkgrabber about a month ago and it is the lowest price I have found. I can't get them refilled at Cartridge World cheaper. So check out the site when you have a minute, if you are a online shopper, like I am, you will love it!
